Liberia arrests sect members

Police in the Liberian capital, Monrovia, have arrested at least twenty-five members of a Christian sect which is accused of promoting sexual promiscuity.

The arrests follow a radio talk show on Friday during which members of the controversial Never Die Church said that promiscuity was not a sin.

After the broadcast, police had to intervene to prevent an angry group from attacking the sect members.

The irate crowd said that, in their view, the beliefs of the sect were contrary to the Bible's teachings.
