Two prominent Iranian women reformists who were detained two months ago have been released on bail pending trial.
Mehranhiz Kar, a civil rights lawyer, and Shahla Lahiji, a feminist publisher, were summoned before a revolutionary court in Tehran after attending a controversial conference in Berlin which was broken up by Iranian dissidents in exile.
The Iranian news agency said bail had been set at five-hundred million riyals -- the equivalent of around sixty-thousand dollars at the official rate. No details were given of the charges against the women.
A trial date is to be announced later.
