There are reports that the leader of a Muslim extremist organisation has been extradited from the United Arab Emirates to Egypt.
A London-based Islamist group, the Islamic Observation Centre says the man, Mohammad Al-Zawahri, was handed over in January, and that he is being tortured in an Egyptian jail.
Mr Al-Zawahri was sentenced to death in his absence by an Egyptian military court last year for membership of the illegal Jihad organisation.
The group is accused of involvement in the assassination of President Anwar Sadat in 1981.
There's been no independent confirmation of Mr Al-Zawahri's current whereabouts.
